At Bright Light Solar we are justifiably proud of our Solar Vaccine Refrigerator which is approved by The World Health Organisation.

Custom designed and tested in-house by Bright Light Solar, our refrigerator is highly efficient and specifically designed to operate using solar power. The Solar Vaccine Refrigerator provides 35 litres of Vaccine storage capacity and 4 litres for frozen icepack.

Solar powered refrigeration plays a vital role in the storage and distribution of vital vaccines in the most remote areas of the world. Recently more solar refrigerators have been used for the storage of blood.

For added simplicity, we also supply the refrigerator as part of a 'plug and play' solar power system - just plug the unit into the power socket on our solar power supply pack, connect the panels and the system is ready for use.

Solar technology is used to generate electricity which is fed via a state-of-the-art microprocessor controlled charge regulator into a specially made battery bank. The battery bank is charged up during daylight hours storing the energy generated and provides 24hr electricity to the refrigerator.

The ‘plug & play’ Solar Refrigerator kit has the following specifications:
